How we work: the Pawssport transparency promise

Before you choose a vet or a service, pause and check. We gather the facts so you can judge for yourself. We don't vouch for any clinic, and nobody can pay us to rank higher.

1. Every clinic is listed, facts as they are

The directory lists every clinic we can find, partner or not. Facts come from official registers (such as the Hong Kong Veterinary Surgeons Board register and local government clinic lists), what clinics publish themselves, and our own phone checks. Each fact shows its source and when we last checked it.

2. Ranking and badges are never for sale

  • Lists are ordered only by what you choose: area, distance, 24 hours, specialty.
  • No paid top spots, no 'recommended' slots, no paid badges.
  • Clinics can correct wrong facts, but cannot pay to remove or hide them.

3. Partners must meet a public standard first

We only partner with clinics or services that meet all of the following, and the partnership ends if they stop meeting them:

  • Every treating vet is on the official register (Hong Kong: Veterinary Surgeons Board).
  • Quotes are written and itemised: what is and isn't included (anaesthesia, X-rays, medication, follow-up).
  • On request, owners get a copy of the medical record naming the treating vet.
  • They say clearly whether a vet is on site overnight and where emergencies are referred.
  • They reply to enquiries sent through Pawssport within the agreed time.

4. How we earn

  • Partner clinics and services pay a referral fee only for bookings completed through Pawssport. Paying never changes the order, and partners are clearly labelled.
  • Pawssport app Plus: for example, health records older than 90 days. Essential care features stay free.
  • Any future sponsored content will be clearly labelled as sponsored.
  • We never take money to rank, to praise, or to remove facts.

5. What we don't do

  • We don't diagnose or replace your vet's advice.
  • We don't score clinics or comment on any case or person.
  • We don't sell your personal data.
