What to ask before booking
- How are consult fees and night/holiday surcharges calculated? Is there a public list or written estimate?
- Typical ranges for common labs/imaging — and is sedation/anaesthesia billed separately?
- Do you take chronic/senior rechecks? Can we send records and a meds list ahead?
- ER hours and referral path? Can non-urgent specialty visits be booked?
- Are Rx diets / chronic meds dispensed on site or external only?
4 more questions
- Visiting rules for inpatients, billing cadence, and itemised receipts?
- How do volunteers apply for and verify the discount, and what does it cover (is the volunteer card + ID checked at each visit)?
- Does the one-for-one free stray desexing programme (desex one pet, one stray desexed free) still run, and how do we register?
- Is the intake process or pricing different for rescued/adopted animals versus family pets?
